I feel incredibly privileged to be the custodian of the last internal combustion, mid-engined Porsche. I chose Smyrna Green as it was a ‘special colour’ on the 356 between 1962-1963, two years before production ended in 1965. The Spyder RS is equipped with magnesium wheels finished in satin aluminium and Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes. Together these improve handling, steering, and responsiveness via a 30kg reduction in unsprung mass. While it features the Weissach Package, I have chosen to have the carbon bonnet painted for a classic, unified look. The windscreen frame is finished in satin black to lower the visual weight and extend the belt line of this unique, road-optimised rennsport model. I am running her in, on her maiden journey to ArtNeun from her home in Sydney.
