This 1997 986 Boxster is the first year of production model. It has a 2.5 litre engine and is used extensively as a track car. They are beautifully balanced if not a bit on the underpowered side. As they say - it more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow! Being a track car, I thought it would be fun to have it decked out in a “Rothmans” livery. The Rothmans livery was used by Porsche during the 1980’s and 1990’s and was famously used at the 24 hours of Le Mans and the Paris Dakar Rally. It is synonymous with Porsche’s racing heritage.
